Pelargoniums are a delightful addition to any greenhouse or room within the home. As if their beautiful scent wasn’t enough, they also bear clusters of delicate blooms in a wonderful variety of colours, sitting proudly above their full, bushy foliage.

These wonderful evergreen perennials can flower almost all year round, with many varieties producing beautifully scented foliage that releases its fragrance when touched.

Pelargoniums are perfect for growing in pots, but can also thrive when planted in the ground. They prefer fertile, well-drained soil in a south, west or east-facing position, with full or partial sun and a little shelter from the elements.

To keep your Pelargoniums looking their best, deadhead regularly throughout the flowering season to encourage and prolong their blooms. As the plants establish, water regularly, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings.

During the colder months, protect your Pelargoniums from winter weather, particularly frost. A bright windowsill or heated glasshouse provides the perfect sheltered spot to see them through until the warmer weather returns.
